Split Settings let you nest data, remove empty columns, toggle variable labels, and position totals at the start, end, or hide them in your table.

3: Display all Split drop-zones
The Display all Split drop-zones option displays an additional drop zone for rows. Once the new row drop zone is displayed, you can drag a variable into it to nest it under another variable. To use this function, follow these steps:
Navigate to the Split Settings menu at the top of the Crosstab tool.
Select "Display All Split Drop Zones" from the drop-down menu. This will reveal additional split areas for rows and columns in the table setup interface.
From the variable list on the left-hand side, locate the desired variable
Drag and drop the variable into the Rows (Splits) section. This will nest the variable under the previously added row variable.
Click the Generate Table button to process your Crosstab. The generated table will reflect the nested variable structure for easy analysis.
